Octo Traffic

Octo Traffic allows to display on BlackBerry smartphones real time information on traffic conditions. Information is displayed via a code based on colours ranging from ?black? to ?green? according to traffic conditions observed on Italian highways network, on main national road and on urban highways of Rome, Milan, Naples, Florence, Turin and Bologna.

Real time traffic information is generated by a large scale floating car data system based on 800.000 vehicles equipped with Octo Telematics systems. Information, available 24/7, display highway name and code and /or urban area name, road trunk, direction and traffic status via a color code.

Information is updated every three minutes, if it is not possible to observe traffic conditions over a specific road trunk, the trunk is coloured in grey.
