SnapNCrop

SnapNCrop allows you to take a screen capture of your BlackBerry display. It also allows you to load images for editing. Images can be cropped, rotated, flipped horizontally or vertically and then saved or sent via email or MMS message. Please note: editing higher resolution images on older devices will take some time to complete.

Images are saved in the JPEG format with a userdefined quality factor. They can be named and saved to a folder created by the user on the settings screen.

SnapNCrop works on all BlackBerry devices. The user interface will adjust to the screen resolution of the device it is installed on.

Hints Tips

Even though the application can be run from the icon, it is recommended that you assign it to a convenience key for taking screen captures. This can be done on the Options menu, Screen/Keyboard settings. You should assign it to either the left or right convenience key. On the BlackBerry Torch, you would find this setting in the Options menu under the Device section.

Pressing H on the main screen will bring up the help screen.

When in crop mode, hit the spacebar on trackball/trackpad devices to toggle between crop region size and location.

Requirements

OS 5.0 or greater is required for the application to run.

An SD card is required for saving images. However, images can be sent without one.

Please note: if you are using a BES enabled phone, some BES administrators restrict installing 3rd party applications. Try the free trial first to see if SnapNCrop will work within this scope.
