Advanced Forwarder is a useful utility for BlackBerry allowing you to forward your incoming calls and SMS messages to another mobile number. The forwarding can be instantly enabled or disabled at your convenience, both locally from the application interface or remotely with an SMS command sent from another phone.
How it works?
Once you install the Advanced Forwarder you can enable forwarding directly from the application interface or remotely from another mobile by sending an SMS command. You can choose to forward calls only, SMS only or both calls and messages.
When a call is received on the forwarding device it will be transferred to the specified number, leaving the caller unaware of the forwarding. Each received SMS is instantly forwarded to the selected number so the text message will be available on both the forwarding and receiving phones.
Advanced Forwarder provides an event log that shows detailed history of forwarded communication calls and/or text messages and a list of received commands: start forwarding, stop forwarding, unrecognized command or skipped command.
When do you need Advanced Forwarder?
If you forget you phone at home and don t want to miss your important calls for the day.
If you have multiple mobile phone numbers e.g., home, work and want to forward the incoming communication from one of the phones to the other and thus carry a single handset.
When you are occupied or not available and you want to temporary transfer your incoming communication to be handled by someone else.
