Lord Ganesha is known as the God of Knowledge. Born to Lord Shiva, and being the eldest, he is deemed as the Hindu Lord who removes obstacles from human lives. Also known as Vigneshawari or God who removes obstacles or Vinayak the knowledgeable, Lord Ganesha is worshipped all over India as the Hindu deity known for his auspiciousness and blessings. Lord Ganesha has 4 hands with an elephants head and also a pot belly. As with all other Hindu idoals, he too has a vehicle, which is the mouse. He carried an axe, a rope and laddoos in his hands. His fourth hand is extended for blessing.
