Huge Cost Savings: International calls are placed through a cheaper alternative network, saving you up to 70%. It enables you to switch to a lower mobile plan through lesser outgoing minutes.
Ease of Setup: User setup involves a two-step process. First, download the application from the App store. On successful download, the application will initiate an automatic user registration as the second step. Once done, you can start using the application to make or receive calls.
Ease of Use: The application provides you with an option to route international calls onto the C&W Worldwide Network instead of the regular, more costly GSM network. This option is automatically made available the moment the call is initiated.
Conference Calls on the Go: You can setup conference calls to connect different parties at different locations while on the move and benefit hugely on the reduced rates. You can also save this group as a template. The next time you need to have a conference with the same group just select the group and dial.
Eliminating international roaming charges: You can change the origination number from your BlackBerry to any other local number. This allows you to either use a local SIM card number or provide any local desk phone number to receive the call back thereby eliminating inbound international roaming charges.
HOW WORLDWIDE ASSISTANT WORKS?
To make calls, C&W Worldwide Assistant by-passes the mobile network and maximises a fixed price IP network by re-routing calls via Cable&Wireless Worldwides secure and resilient MPLS network instead.
When callers trigger the call request a data packet is sent to the Cable&Wireless Worldwide network, which in turn initiates the call with both parties via the PSTN. Once you accept the callback, the C&W Worldwide switch will initiate the second leg of the call to the party you are calling and both the legs are connected. Conference calls are also connected in the same way.
Note: To use the service, your company must have a Worldwide Assistant account with Cable&Wireless Worldwide and you should be authorised to use the service. The application will trigger a registration process when you launch the application to validate your account with us.
