Now you can play Carroms on your BlackBerry PlayBook! Carroms is a famous board game in different parts of the world and mostly played in South East Asia. It consists of a wooden square board with 4 holes called "Pockets" on each of its corners. It is played between two players sitting on opposite sides of the board. 9 White and 9 Black coins are arranged in the centre and each player takes turn to hit them into one of the four pockets. A circular disc called "Striker" is used to hit the coins and player flicks the striker using his finger.

Each player plays for Whites or Blacks. Player taking Whites starts the game. The player who first pockets all his coinswhites or blacks is the winner. A single red "Queen" is also placed in the center which carries extra points. Player who first scores 22 points is also considered as winner even if he did not pocket all his coins.

In this BlackBerry PlayBook version, the striker is touch enabled and can be moved across the stiker bar. After placing the striker, pull the striker downwards to set the tension and release the striker by lifitng the finger. Give it a try and I bet you will love this game.
