Blood Sugar Diary – Application For People Living With Diabetes
Blood Sugar Diary is designed to help people with diabetes mellitus. You should enter blood glucose readings as frequently as possible. Any date can be selected. To change the default value, move the trackball/trackpad left or right; BlackBerry Storm? users: tap the left or right triangular bracket. It is possible to add a note containing any information – e.g. insulin intake or meal details – when entering the reading.
The application displays charts and history of entered values. There are two lines on a chart: blue for readings before the meals, red for readings after the meals. The charts may be exported to the Pictures folder of the mobile phone. They may be transferred later to your computer, sent by email or Bluetooth.
It is possible to save the history of measurements as a CSV file in the phone memory. That file can be transferred to a computer and opened using any spreadsheet software – for example, MS Excel.
Remember to show the history or charts to your doctor.
The user interface of this application is very user-friendly. Both standard – having keyboard – and touch screen BlackBerry smartphones are supported.

– As requested by users: the charts are larger, the menu is smaller, the Y axis on the chart always contains values from the minimum value to the maximum value, not from 0.

– If you want to enter historical readings, just tap in the middle of the date button or press the trackball/trackpad when that button is selected.
– The application is easier to use for Australian, Canadian etc. users who use mmol/l instead of mg/dl. To enter a mmol/l value, please enter a negative number, for example: -6.8, -7.0 – please remember about the minus sign before the number.
– The charts also display mmol/l if the user enters values using the method described above.
